So I’ve been watching Fringe lately. And I’m really enjoying it, but so far, my overriding conclusion has been that everyone in this cast is fucking perfect. I love them all, Olivia, Peter, Broyles, Astrid, but most especially, I love Walter. I just finished “Snakehead” in Season 2, and it wasn’t a particularly stirring episode in terms of plot, but this was basically my face every time Walter was on screen. He breaks my heart. He wants so badly to get back to the person he was before, but I think he knows that that person is gone, and he’ll never quite be able to grasp what it is that he had before, no matter how close he comes. John Noble deserves every single goddamn award. They did one little close up on his face when he realized just how lost he was at the bus stop, and I just lost it. I had to pause it and weep for a moment. I have so much love for him and every other character in this show. So. Much. Love.

Cersei stared at her, aghast. “Your lackwit sister gets herself raped by half of King’s Landing, and Tanda thinks to honor the bastard with my lord father’s name? I think not.
And this is why I will never be able to like Cersei. She was responsible for Lollys’s safety, and instead Lollys’s was raped while under her protection, and then Cersei has the audacity to blame Lollys. Cersei’s entire character is about a woman gaining power in a male dominated society, but she thinks only of herself and her children and treats all other women as though they are below her. She is in it solely for herself and not for the betterment of her gender, so I get annoyed when she complains about inequality. And this isn’t a complaint about GRRM’s writing, more just a reflection on why I loathe Cersei so much. -
